The average age of the vineyard is 40 years. The soil is predominantly limestone covered with red clay and marl.
tasting
The garnet color attracts with its clarity. The nose emphasizes the fruit with a hint of candied fruit. Elegant and balanced, the mouth is quite long.
You can start drinking it from 3 years, but the ideally from between 5 and 15 years – or even longer depending on the actual vintage and the quality of the cellar. Ideal serving temperature between 15 and 16°C.
Food and wine pairings
A balanced and exceptionally fine wine, it goes perfectly with grilled red meats or in sauces, as well as with cheese.
Note de millésime
Le millésime 2021 tranche avec les deux précédents, en effet il se caractérise par une année de pluie homogène, un ensoleillement normal mais principalement présent au printemps et à l’automne et des températures de saison toute l’année. 2021 se définit surtout par plusieurs épisodes de gel importants intensifié par une forte hydrométrie. Il en résulte une faible récolte mais des Bourgognes classiques et équilibrés.
