Vin Rouge / Pinot Noir

Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru
Les Duresses

the vine

At the entrance to the village, the parcel is on the hillside of the south-facing valley and forms a line with the excellent neighboring Monthelie 1er Cru. It has a very stony marl limestone base. These two factors combine with the great age of the vineyard (90 years!) to give the wine maturity also with a certain minerality, a guarantee of balance and assurances of an epic red Burgundy.

tasting

Ruby, the robe is brilliant and crystal clear. The nose, typical, develops accents of red fruits, cherry with a hint of blackcurrant and strawberry.

Service

Its finesse means it can be enjoyed from its 3rd year in the bottle, but it also has great aging potential. Served at 15-16°C, this wine will be at its best.

Food and wine pairings

It goes wonderfully with a great cut of steak, grilled or in sauce, but also goes very well with cuts of veal or pork.
