This is an old parcel from the Hospice de Beaune, found halfway up the hillside in the very center of the Premier Cru area of Beaune, on the Pommard side.
tasting
This wine is clear and brilliant, of an intense ruby colour. Top notes of berries such as redcurrant or blackcurrant are present.
Ideally you should wait 5 years to start drinking it and up to 15 years or more depending on the nature of the vintage and the quality of the cellar. However, you can start consuming it after 3 years. Serving temperature: 15 to 16°C
Food and wine pairings
This full-bodied wine has good concentration, it goes wonderfully with marinated red meats or in sauce.
Note de millésime
Le millésime 2021 tranche avec les deux précédents, en effet il se caractérise par une année de pluie homogène, un ensoleillement normal mais principalement présent au printemps et à l’automne et des températures de saison toute l’année. 2021 se définit surtout par plusieurs épisodes de gel importants intensifié par une forte hydrométrie. Il en résulte une faible récolte mais des Bourgognes classiques et équilibrés.
